iA Financial Group, Desjardins Insurance and Beneva
Three insurance companies based out of Québec City (QC) showed their commitment to a world free from type 1 diabetes (T1D) by supporting the $100M Campaign to Accelerate.
iA split its commitment between the JDRF-CIHR Partnership to Defeat Diabetes and the Mental Health pillar, while Beneva and Desjardins Insurance directed their funds to the JDRF-CIHR Partnership to Defeat Diabetes, inspired by the federal government match.
All three companies were moved to support by understanding the economic burden T1D can place on individuals and families (typically up to $15,000 per year) and, more generally, on the healthcare system. It is their hope to make lives easier today while we work towards cures for tomorrow.
JDRF thanks them for their contributions and for being inaugural members of the Centennial Club, which will help accelerate the pace of T1D research.
