Isa

Age: 13
Age at diagnosis: 2
Lives in: Scarborough, ON

After Isa was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) at the age of 2, he and his family have actively involved with JDRF through participating in the annual Walk, local community events and even designed the thank you card for the 2018 JDRF Revolution Ride to Defeat Diabetes. When he is not spending his time with JDRF, he enjoys staying healthy by playing sports like basketball and hockey, as well as reading. He has raised awareness about T1D in his community by inviting a diabetes educator to speak to his class and is looking forward to continuing this at Kids for a Cure Lobby Day 2020.
